Billing and
Insurance
Dr. McCreery is a
provider for most major insurance plans including Blue Cross and
Blue Shield (including Regence, Premera), and Uniform.
You are responsible for verifying your individual coverage and
for payment of your bill if your insurance company does not
cover services. The following are useful questions to ask when
verifying your insurance benefit:
- Do I have outpatient mental health benefits?
- Does my policy require me to be seen by a provider who
is contracted with you? If so, is Dr. McCreery a contracted
provider?
- Does my policy require a referral from my primary care
physician before my initial appointment?
- Does my policy require preauthorization for services and
if so, how do I get that?
- Is there a deductible? How much?
- Is there a co-payment or co-insurance and if so, how
much?
- What are the maximum number of sessions or maximum
dollar limits of the benefit?
- Are there any diagnoses that are excluded from my
policy?
